With the official start of spring we can say goodbye to dark tones for a bit and hello to brighter fresher colors and to say the least… I AM SO EXCITED! I have been totally obsessing over white and beige tones lately so I am starting the first day of spring and this blog post, with just that.
An outfit does not always need to have several layers or colors to make a statement. Often times some of the most eye catching looks play with simplicity in different unique ways.
Like I mentioned in my Giddy In Plaid post, really short crop tops are a fun way to show some extra skin. I really have been loving little tops like this one by Zara because they often go best with high-waisted bottoms which in turn, tend to make the waist look bit smaller.
If you haven’t noticed by now, in about half of my blog posts I am wearing jeans similar to these. I finally decided to invest in another pair and give my trusty and very worn out Brandy Melville boyfriends a rest *tear*. These new bad boys are the “Wedgie Fit” by Levis and they are my absolute favorite at the moment. I can’t seem to take them off! If you are looking for a sturdy pair of jeans to fit well on the hips and waist, while still keeping that cool-girl boyfriend style, then these are the fit for you.
Moving on to shoes, I must admit that I think these white sling-backs bring the look together. I have been wanting white pointed pumps since I first saw Ariana Grande step out in her gorgeous YSL’s. It is important to invest in a cute pair of pumps like these for several reasons. First, vintage looking anything is in style at the moments and even if they may look like “grandma shoes” (what my sister like to call them) remember that an accessory is what you make of it. Also, these unique heel are super sturdy and comfy for walking city streets all day. I found these browsing the depths of the internet and I got them on sale! Unfortunately, I do not think they are available anymore but here are a similar pair and here. I accessorized the outfit with a few simple gold accents. These adorable gold bands are from MantraBands and they say short little phrases that keep me going with just a glance of the wrist. Finally, I added my safety pin inspired earrings from Zara.
